This is Pasadena’s Rose Bowl fireworks show from the Colorado Street bridge.
The bridge is only open to foot traffic during the show.
We got a nice spot overlooking the 134 freeway and the Arroyo Seco (Pasadena’s fancy name for this gulch).
I had heard that the Colorado Street bridge is nicknamed “suicide bridge,” and when we got there some Pasadena police came by asking if we had seen anyone on the other side of the guardrail.
Then it gets dark and …
… fireworks!
And then we stayed late to take photos.
