The sunrise was unusually fiery that day. (Speaking of fire, the taller building on the right is the apartment building that burned in the four-alarm fire.)
Dinner was Red Iguana food at City Creek’s food court. So. Good.
The LDS Conference Center, completed in 2000.
The 21,000-ish-seat auditorium is the largest of its kind without any supports obstructing the view of the stage (which I was shocked to realize that I failed to photograph).
The nine skylights above the auditorium come out on the rooftop garden as pyramids. (The skylight parts are currently covered.) The rooftop garden is divided with trees on the east side toward the mountains and meadow grass on the west side toward the Great Salt Lake.
The Conference Center tour includes several striking paintings and sculptures.
