Disneyland and the beach for a long weekend.
Malibou Lake (yes, the “o” is supposed to be in there) was created in 1922 when investors blocked two creeks and created a small private community around the resulting lake. Several films have been shot there, and we tracked it down because rumor has it that Parks and Rec filmed Donna’s lake house scenes here.
At the Veggie Grill in Westlake Village on the way home. We created an appetizer feast for fear that the seasonal corn might soon disappear from the menu.
San Clemente! My first trip to the beach this summer.
The best reason to drive to San Clemente: beach burritos from Pedro’s Tacos stuffed with beans, rice, crispy potato and topped with taco sauce.
This year is Disneyland’s 60th birthday!
