This is the Osmalieh Ice Cream from Ammatoli. Unfortunately it’s not vegan, but fortunately neither is Nene (and she loves cotton candy). It’s pastry dough filled with ice cream topped with Ghazel Banat (Lebanese cotton candy), dates, pistachios, and crumbled rose petals.
Even though it’s a bit of a drive, we made time for Chaumont Vegan. We got the rosewater croissant (so. good.), the raspberry fig tart, and the chocolate orange croissant.
Rose Park Roasters was so good that we visited twice. Here we have the orange thyme olive oil cake (vegan) and the maple lavender latte with orange zest. The cake is proving hard to forget–I’m thinking I should go back for more.
And for our post-Disneyland recovery, we had a Pura Vita beach picnic. We started with pistachio gelato, then had the Carbonara pasta (avocado egg, macadamia romano cream, and shiitake bacon), and the Black Magic pizza (ricotta, mozzarella, crimini mushrooms, black truffle cream sauce, pesto, and micro basil). It was all amazing (and the leftover pizza made an excellent breakfast later).
