There’s a troll under this bridge.
It’s 18 feet tall, weighs 13,000 pounds, and is holding a Volkswagen Beetle (probably for a snack later, since trolls can eat anything).
In 1990, Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood held a competition to strengthen the community through art, and the idea for the troll sculpture won.
So now we have the Fremont Troll! Since then they’ve even renamed part of the street “Troll Avenue.”
This is what the bridge looks like from the top.
And from the side.
I thought I was alone until these bridge pigeons made a throaty pigeon noise and startled me.
According to Wikipedia, the troll is holding an actual Volkswagen Beetle.
