Naung Mai Thai Kitchen in Anacortes might be the best Thai food I’ve ever had. It’s definitely the best I’ve had in the past decade or so. After we got back from Orcas Island, we just wanted more Thai food (we’d been the night before and couldn’t stop thinking about it).

This is the Fresh Summer Roll, lettuce, tofu, carrots, and rice noodles wrapped in clear rice paper and served with peanut sauce.
The restaurant is adorable. We got the same table both nights in their indoor dinning room that feels like an orangery or sun room or something–it’s sort of a circular shape surrounded by windows.
This is the Pad Thai, which they can do without egg so that it’s vegan. It was so good that Nene got it both nights.
This is the Panang Curry with coconut milk, broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, basil, tofu, and lime leaves.
And this is the Rama Vegetables, stir fried broccoli, bean sprouts, zucchini, spinach, cabbage, and carrots topped with peanut sauce. There were no leftovers either night.
