P.S. Kitchen is a social business that happens to produce some excellent vegan food. They provide jobs for marginalized people in New York and they donate 100% of their profits to four sustainable non-profit charity partners.

And of course their food is plant-based. This is called “Brownie with Ice Cream.” It’s a brownie with chocolate sauce, coconut ice cream, and cashew caramel. The brownie was soft and gooey, approaching lava cake, and it was good.
Found it! It’s a block over from the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, currently home to The Book of Mormon (which is why I was there).
Inside! I got the table looking out the front window, and this is the view behind me.
And the entree, a Golden Beet Salad (golden beets, baby arugula, vegan feta cheese, toasted sunflower seeds, micro amaranth, and balsamic vinaigrette). It was delightful, especially the feta, which had a strong feta-y taste (I feel like vegan cheese doesn’t always get there).
