Washington Square Park! The arch is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of George Washington’s inauguration.
NYU is back in session, and suddenly there are people and free pizza/donuts (with a student id) everywhere. (One of the NYU buildings is across the street.)
The fountain at the park was designed with steps down to the water for wading!
