It took six weeks, but I finally feel like going out and doing things again after my solo-travel adventure around the country. First up is a visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum!
My dad tipped me off to the fact that the museum 1) exists, and 2) hosts the Enzo Ferrari Cruise-In today. Since it’s almost my dad’s birthday, we decided to celebrate by wandering to Los Angeles to look at some awesome cars.
The Cruise-In was on the roof of the parking garage. (Fortunately the rare California blizzard has cleared.)
The museum is also hosting “Arsham Auto Motive,” a special exhibit by David Arsham that explores “a fictional archaeology wherein objects from our cultural and material present are unearthed at some point in the distant future.” This is the “ash and pyrite eroded 1968 Mustang GT Fastback,” (the car from Bullitt).
The Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne in the hypercars exhibit. The paint color is called “Ocean Song Rose.”
The also had a “Cars of Film and Television” section, including Eleanor.
I took photos of Eleanor, then went back and took more photos of Eleanor. Such a pretty car.
They even had Lightning McQueen!
