We had a great tour in Honduras where, thanks to our tour guide David and the fact that my mom speaks Spanish, we were able to choose our own adventure while learning about the island.
First we headed for a vista point with some great hilltop shopping.
Viewpoint shops.
Some jewelry for sale.
There were many adorable sloth-themed things.
We also visited a shopping center with a chocolate store (chocolate isn’t grown on Roatan, but it’s processed there), a fruit stand, and a craft store.
The craft store had a cat!
We got a bonus side trip to Eldon’s Supermarket where they had Loma Linda food! (Supposedly it’s because there’s a large expat community in the area.) The store had a larger Bob’s Red Mill section than my local Ralphs.
We wrapped up the day by visiting the shops at the cruise port.
