Solo traveler extraordinaire. Looking for vegan food.
Port Townsend 8.9-10.25
When Nene suggested we spend the weekend in Port Townsend, I thought, “Wait isn’t that just the place you catch the ferry, is that a place where people spend the weekend?”
Not sure why I was doubting the local, but Port Townsend is delightful! We arrived in the late afternoon just in time to wander the shops downtown.
In the morning we got breakfast from Better Living Through Coffee, which has vegan pastries and a stellar location on the water.
We sauntered along the waterfront for a bit.
Then on our way out of town we walked the beach around Fort Worden. (Nene had seen otters on this beach before. We saw some bald eagles this time.) This is the Point Wilson lighthouse.
The food highlight was our dinner at Tommyknocker’s Cornish Pasty. Nene had the vegan crab burger (with diary cheese added), and I had the vegan shepherd’s pie pasty.
