The second Sunday of every month, we common mortals are allowed near automotive magnificence. And I had no idea until my dad enlightened me recently. This is Sunset GT, and it is mind-blowing. You forget that it’s nearly 100 degrees outside and you’re standing in the sun hoping for a clear shot of the Bugatti.
One of the best parts of the show is watching the cars enter and exit the parking lot.
They had sections for Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Bentley, Aston Martin, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porcshe, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Audi (R8), Dodge (Viper), Plymouth (Prowler), huge cars (Land Rover, Rhino), and a smattering of vintage cars (MG, Packard).
Then there was the section in the back. We have a McLaren, the Bugatti, a Ferrari F40, and a Spyker. The star of the show parked here when it arrived, but more on that later.

 Ford!
One of the handful of drones making low passes over the cars. Quite a few people brought camera equipment to the show.
This is the Maserati MC12, Maserati’s answer to the Enzo Ferrari, and probably the nicest car at the show. Of the 50 MC12s made, this is the only black one in the world.
A study in how exotic car owners react to rules like “don’t floor it when you leave.”
