One of the best views of Seattle is from Kerry Park on Queen Anne hill.
The park is named for Albert and Katharine Kerry who donated the land to the city in 1927.
The Space Needle is orange for its 60th anniversary. The color is “galaxy gold,” the same one used when the Space Needle opened in 1962 for the World’s Fair.
