MeeT is a chain started by three Vancouver restaurant experts with the idea that food connects people, so it needs to be plant-based and it needs to be delicious.

And they succeeded. This is their cronut, “filled with a decadent coconut Bavarian creme, and rolled in cinnamon sugar,” and it’s one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while. The cream filling was phenomenal.
We went to the Gastown location (which we couldn’t find at first).
They even have a sign (which we failed to see).
Here it is! In an adorable courtyard.
Got a table!
We split the XO Broccoli, “charred broccoli layered with umami-packed house-made XO paste, smokey gochujang mayo, toasted cashews, crispy rice noodles & sesame seeds.” It will change your life.
I got the Crispy Kalamari Caesar (the house Caesar salad with crispy battered oyster mushrooms and a tzatziki drizzle).
Nene went for the poutine. This is Butter Chikkin Poutine, “fries topped with butter chikkin in a rich creamy tomato curry, gravy, and mozza – topped with curried salsa and scallions.” The sauce was perfect.
