Dough Joy is Seattle’s first and only 100% plant-based donut shop.
The owners were already in Seattle’s vegan scene when the pandemic hit and they had to pivot to a different business. It was about the same time another vegan place was giving up their truck for a brick-and-mortar store, so the Dough Joy truck was born.
They’ve expanded to two brick-and-mortar locations, but they kept the truck.
The haul! I only meant to get three donuts, but they said if I did one more I could get a box. So I added a maple bar!

The s’mores donut. All were staff-recommended, and all were delicious! They don’t taste vegan, they taste buttery and have a nice fluffy melt-in-your-mouth texture.
