This is a new national park! It was created in 2019. It’s twenty miles of shoreline on Lake Michigan (bookended by steel mills) and the dunes are huge. Here are some stairs going up one of the dunes.

Lake Michigan! It was my first visit to a great lake.

The water was warm! It wasn’t like bathwater or anything, but compared to the Pacific Ocean it was boiling.
