Blossom was started in 2005 by a couple of vegan-for-the-animals people who wanted organic/local/small distribution vegan food. Their goal is to make food so good that even non-vegans will remember it fondly.

This is the seitan piccata. It’s garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach, and seitan cutlets in lemon-caper sauce. It was delightful.
They have two locations, the original location on the upper west side, and a new location in Greenwich Village. (This is the original.)
So far New York hasn’t been crowded (I’m not sure if it’s because of the pandemic or because it’s still summer), but I wasn’t sure what happens for brunch, so I got there right when they opened.
I was the first one there! But it started to fill up while I ate.
For dessert, tiramisu with coconut mascarpone and vanilla lady fingers. Very tasty.
