Las Vegas! This trip was a lesson in checking your photo settings before you start snapping. I left my heavy DSLR at home in favor of my point-and-shoot camera, due to the fact that Vegas always includes large amounts of walking. My little point-and-shoot does take good photos, but unfortunately I had my ISO cranked all the way up. So here is my grainy documentation Las Vegas. (I figured out my mistake on the way out of town.)
We stayed at the MGM Grand.
Outside the back door of the MGM Grand was this high-class stretch Pontiac.
“Mustangs. It’s a pride thing.” You run across the greatest people in Vegas. Both he and his wife were wearing these.
Inside the Monte Carlo for the first time. It was especially interesting because we’d just been to the real Monte Carlo in Monaco. Although larger, this one was not quite as impressive.
Happy Easter from Scrat!
The circular driveway at Aria has water running down rock walls.
I wish I’d thought of it first. It’s a two-story lounge and bar inside what looks like a chandelier.
The view from the Bellagio moving sidewalk.
A disco-ball horse in the Bellagio lobby.
The Wynn/Encore entrance.
Most of the casino/hotels were decorated for Chinese New Year, the year of the snake. This snake tree blinked its eyes.
A private party with oranges floating in the fountain.
The entrance to the Miracle Mile shops.
The fire show at the Mirage.
Swinging through Red Rock National Conservation Area on the way out of town. We paid our fee and enjoyed the 13-mile scenic loop.
I drove by the entrance to the park at first and had to pull a u-turn. Good thing because it meant I got to follow these two around the loop. (Jeff took this photo.)
There are three Mustangs in this photo!
