The weather wasn’t exactly sunny, but I still want to buy a vacation home there.
So back to the rental car. The scraping sound came from this panel. And the bumper was beginning to separate from the car’s body. Adventures from Hertz!

I didn’t expect such a Trestles-style surf culture in the northwest of our country, but the surf shops felt just as appropriate in Ocean City.

This store had upside-down cars and planes hovering over the shoppers.
We had been trying to eat at the Bashful Banana vegetarian/vegan cafe, but they were closed. Twice. (I expect because of the poor weather.) So we settled on the O.C. Surf Cafe, and their food was fantastic.
We had also been looking for the hermit crabs and finally found them the night before we headed back inland.
