The Rockefeller Center observation deck might not be the tallest or most iconic, but it arguably has the best view. It’s between Central Park and the Empire State Building, and you can also see One World Trade Center and (sort of) the Chrysler Building.
The building went up quickly, in a little over a year, and the observation deck opened to the public in 1933.
It’s also the site of a photo you’ve probably seen, Lunch atop a Skyscraper.
The view to the north over Central Park.
A peek at the Chrysler Building.
And finally the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center.
