For Burbank’s 100th birthday, the “Party of the Century,” main streets closed so residents and visitors could stroll past booths, special guests (like the 18-foot animatronic T. Rex from The Lost World: Jurassic Park), and random birthday displays, such as the cake below. They also had fireworks! Mickey and Minnie Mouse presented one of the biggest cupcake displays ever. U.S. Navy F/A-18 Hornets, B-25 Mitchell bombers, Burbank Police Notar helicopters, and Aero Squadron WWII planes flew over. And Bugs Bunny led the Mascot Parade.
