I thought I’d seen gardens before. I’ve been to England—they invented the garden. But it turns out England has nothing on Pierre du Pont and his Longwood Gardens.
“Longwood Gardens,” according to the sign, “is the living legacy of Pierre S. du Pont, inspiring people through excellence in garden design, horticulture, education and the arts.”
Awesome?! I think it is.
Local school kids decorated trees. There was one made of CDs, one of origami cranes, and this is the one of clam and lobster shells.
