Saturday was Light the Night 2009, an event to raise awareness/funds for blood cancers. We walked this year on the “Jimmy’s Vision Team” in memory of a boy who lost the fight with lukemia at the age of 11. Jimmy was first diagnosed at age five, and had to endure lumbar punctures, chemo therapy, and bone marrow biopsies. His dream was to have a cure that involved a single vaccination. And so the Jimmy’s Vision Foundation was created to help find a cure, to raise awareness, and to support cancer patients and their families.
