I visited Langley three years ago with Nene, and it was so delightful that I took my parents back this weekend.

It was as adorable as I remember. Their old firehouse building is a glass-art studio and gallery.

We had breakfast at The Braeburn Restaurant, which had a bit of a wait.

So we wandered around Second Street looking at cute shops and idyllic landscaping.

We finally sat down across the street, and we got to meet Trouble, a friendly dachshund-chihuahua mix with a big smile.

Made it to breakfast! We veganized their Cowboy Burrito.

These poppies were by Braeburn’s bathrooms.

Langley is full of rabbits, supposedly because a group of them escaped the Island County Fair and went on to populate the town.

This is the Inn At Langley.

They have a stunning courtyard that faces First Street.

And they have a fantastic ocean-front location.

There’s even an out-of-commission ferry at one end of the beach!
